Daniel Fender
Central Bible Church, Oregon
Daniel Fender is a graduate of Multnomah University where he received his B.A. and M.Div. and is pursuing his Th.M. at Western Seminary in Portland, OR.
He is currently working on his thesis focused on how Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s understanding of discipleship could effect the local church. Over the past 6 years he has planted and pastored The Gathering Church in east Portland. He is married to his beautiful wife Janine; they have four children (Caleb, Adaiah, Naomi and Micah).
Currently Daniel and Janine have the joy of beginning to serve at Central Bible with a team of leaders that is excited about seeing a historically significant church experience renewal from the inside.
Daniel loves being a father and husband and is energized by seeing others find mercy through Jesus’ work at the Cross. He also enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking, astronomy, gardening, touring by bicycle, and reading outside when the sun is shining in Portland.
We are a community of Christians who love the city of Portland and, most importantly, every single person who lives here. We love Jesus more than anything, and we think of all people as true miracles that he created for an eternally profound reason.
