What sets spiritual leadership apart from all other forms of leadership? One foundational element to aid spiritual leaders as they grow in capacity to serve is the profound practice of worship. Worship places the human heart in its proper position before his Lord. It is where the leader makes a declaration of dependence.

While leadership technique is of great value in almost any leadership endeavour, we affirm the need for spiritual leaders to be first and foremost great worshippers. This sets skill, experience, and technique in their proper place.

How important is worship to God? We discover that God is in relentless pursuit of worshippers (John 3:23). If God seeks worshippers, then it makes senses that God’s leaders be passionate worship leaders themselves. Notice the great missionary apostle and theologian concluded major sections on leadership development in I Timothy 1:17 and 6:15, Paul the worshipper cannot contain himself as he sees the power of the gospel to transform. He bursts into worship and says, “…to the King of Kings, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Simply stated, following hard after the apostle Paul, and the heart of God, we want to help next gen leaders become great worshippers. We claim worship in its rightful place in the development of leaders.
